Troy police investigate ‘non-adult’ human remains found in wooded area

Troy, N.Y. — Police are investigating after human remains were found in the Burden Pond Preserve in Troy.
Police first went to the scene, a wooded area near Burden Falls in South Troy, after a caller reported finding bones while on a walk, according to the Times Union in Albany. Officers confirmed the remains were human and secured the area, the paper said.
The skeletal remains appear to be those of a “non-adult,” perhaps mid-to-late teenager, according to the Times Union.
